Mass spectrometry of microbial markers was used to study the microbial landscape of the oropharynx in 22 children with infectious mononucleosis aged from 3 to 14 years. The comparison group consisted of 10 children without clinical signs of infectious mononucleosis and acute respiratory viral infections including mucosal and tonsils hyperemia. The data obtained helped to verify and quantify the composition of the microbial community in the oropharynx in infectious mononucleosis and treat angina in infectious mononucleosis as a disease with the association of various opportunistic pathogens that exceeded the number of microbes in healthy children at least more than twice.
