The purpose of the investigation is to study the role of combined oral contraceptives (COCs) in the rehabilitation of patients after surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. 27 patients after surgery for the ectopic pregnancy were examined. The patients were divided into 2 groups. For the purpose of contraception and rehabilitation the patients of the 1^st group received COC (30 meg ethinylestradiol and 150 meg desogestrel); the 2nd group did not receive it. There was observed a good control of the menstrual cycle, lack of intermenstrual bleeding in the patients of the 1^st group. The indicated COC may be recommended after surgery for ectopic pregnancy.
