In the report the authors present data provided evidence that a qualitative inadequacy of pregnant women nutrition contribute to the development of iron-deficiency anemia, pregnancy and delivery complications. Anemia leads to a fetoplacental failure, development of anemia in newborns, metabolic processes disturbances which result in various pathological conditions. Higher prevalence of anemia in rural pregnant women and platypodia in children living in families with a low level of living wage proves the role of social factors in ensuring a healthy generation. The authors demonstrate the need to examine protein-vitamin-mineral status of population in the Family Planning Center, health centers and antenatal clinics. It is proved the effectiveness of nutrient deficiency correction in pregnant women with the use of natural concentrated products made of vegetable and protein-vegetable raw materials.
