The increasing flow of information affects the human health and assumes active involvement of hygienists. The place of information hygiene in the preventive medicine is considered. Some physical and hygienic aspects of information measurement and assessment are discussed along with its negative effects. International and Russian regulatory documents in the field are mentioned. In connection with the strategy of innovative development of Russia hygienic aspects of the evaluation of innovations and prospects for the development of hygienic standards are analyzed.
