Vascular growth factors play an important role in the formation and functioning of the fetoplacental complex. The paper analyzed angiogenic status in patients with placental insufficiency with intrauterine growth restriction and preeclampsia. In all pregnant women there was investigated serum level of PIGF, sFlt-1 and sEng at 28–34 weeks of gestation by the method of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Preeclampsia and intrauterine growth restriction are characterized by a decrease in pro-angiogenic growth factors on the background of increasing concentrations of anti-angiogenic agents.
